I get why you think so! But Leonor isn't a yandere, she just became (somewhat) insensitive to other's people suffering after running away from her home. To survive, she had to kill some of her empathy.

Her heart isn't made of stone, in any other circumstance she'd have felt bad for any kid taken to be a guinea pig, but this is an extreme case... And she will choose her child over anyone and be fine with that decision.

That's just how life rolls (in her eyes). Someone will die or get hurt, but if you're smart and willing to break some rules, then it won't be you or someone you love.

Ethan becomes so protective of the lords in the Father Ethan au because he remembers Eveline and how she did all of those things because she was essentially an abused child who needed love but couldn’t express that non-aggressively.

He’s patient during outbursts and refuses to leave when Alcina literally throws a table to scare him away. He lets Donna play dolls and actually shows interest when she’s trying to explain things. He compliments and congratulates Moreau on the most minute things because he sees Moreau was trying. He lets Karl lead the way and asks what he needs even when the guy gets real snippy. He imagines if it was Rose in each of their places.

Ethan is so protective and patient with the lords because he can recognize the outbursts of an abused and confused child.

Okay...I have an OC that I paired Toph with in Matchmaker. His name is Xei and he was the head of security at Zuko's palace, and in my head, he is the perfect counterbalance to Toph. HOWEVER, recently, I've begun to think that Toph and Haru would be cute together (once they're older, of course). I also kind of like the idea of Toph being a single mom, though. Not the way that LoK went about it (I also don't think Toph would ever be a cop. Defense attorney, sure, but a cop? Nah).

Toph would be a good, but probably unconventional mom. I think a mix of Lois from Malcolm in the Middle and Lorelei from Gilmore Girls would be the easiest way to describe what I think her parenting style would be, but maybe a bit less prone to controlling than Lois and less selfish than Lorelei. She does have Katara as an example, after all. Suki as a mom would be like Claire from Modern Family. Don't fight me on this. I won't change my mind.

Okay this is gonna be like a very quick thing but i’d like to talk about Serina and her use of the void.

Compared to Zachary, Serina represents the hunger that comes with the void, it’s an emptiness she can’t fill, hence why she feeds on a lot more souls than the average wraith. Hence why she hunts other wraiths most of the time. Normally, she just tears out the core of a wraith and shatters it, allowing her to absorb all the souls they’ve collected. However, if she doesn’t kill them, she can forcibly feed off of them and in doing so, passes on her hunger to them, usually causing them to devolve into a somewhat feral state where the wraith lashes out trying to feed itself.

Like I know Grace is meant to be this 'manipulative, ice queen' morally gray character, and she def is, but I also kind of get this sense of childishness from her thoughts and actions?Not the sweet, naive kind, but the type that makes them stamp their feet, get mad at the world, shrink back when Tatiana gets terrifying. Underneath it all Grace is still a messed up young girl wanting her big brother back. That doesnt make her actions excusable, of course, and I was so happy when she got confronted by James (cuz she DESERVED it), but it makes her interesting at the same time. She just feels so young.

Ok time for me to ramble about Nil, more specifically about their power to enter memories.

Nil’s always been good at understanding people. Whether its a side effect of their power or just their personality, Nil’s a natural at breaking down other people’s thoughts. Sometimes they emphasise a bit too much with others, though, often at the expense of themself. Its what comes with caring too much.

Nil’s always been aware that they can enter memories, but doesn’t really like to at first. It’s very disorienting and uncomfortable to do. Usually whoever’s they’re trying to enter needs to be unconscious or at least in a weaker state, and they can be forced out of someone’s mind, which causes them to feel very, very sick. However, sometimes they just... know. They have to. It’s what they were made to do. They need to fix it.

While entering someone’s mind, it renders both Nil and them into a trance. Time passes normally while this happens. Nil can pull other people into someone’s mind, but it’s dangerous and takes a lot out of them. It can be helpful, and sometimes necessary, though. Just... not always. Be careful with this, not everyone wants to enter another's mind.

A person’s mind is a surreal mix of their memories, dreams and thoughts. It often reflects someone’s home, views and actions. For example, the Hunter’s mind is a forest, littered with shattered TV’s and bodies, The Teacher’s mind is a school in the midst of a massive fight where the entire place is out of control and the Janitor’s mind is like the halls of the maw, but uncomfortably long and with doors and holes that lead to nowhere. One thing they all have in common is the eyes. There’s always eyes everywhere. So many eyes. Nil... dislikes eye contact. And eyes in general. They aren’t supposed to be there. Disgusting things.

When they enter someone’s mind, they can find the persons ‘soul’ for lack of a better word. Maybe consciousness would be a better one. Because so many people have had their minds and bodies twisted by the tower, their souls are often buried deep, deep down. Nil’s main goal is to guide their souls out of the depths of their minds and back into their bodies. Its not an easy process, and often means unpacking alot of built-up traumas and regrets. If this process is successful, they’ll both remember what happened. Exactly. What. Happened. :) Its unfortunate, but necessary. I’m sorry I didn’t fix it sooner.
